Therapeutic Massage & Reiki
an important role in whole-body healing
While many clients seek massage to support pelvic floor therapy, our practitioners are also skilled in addressing a wide range of concerns—including neck and shoulder tension, TMJ dysfunction, headaches, postural discomfort, and chronic stress patterns. These services stand confidently on their own, offering meaningful support to anyone seeking relief, balance, or deeper connection to their body. Each session is one-on-one and personalized to your needs—whether your goals are recovery, relaxation, pain relief, or grounding. You do not need to be a pelvic health patient to benefit from these services; they are available to anyone seeking skilled, thoughtful, and restorative care.
Therapeutic Massage
Massage at Centerline goes beyond relaxation. It’s a therapeutic, focused treatment designed to release tension, improve circulation, and restore comfort and mobility throughout the body.
Our approach is grounded in anatomy and guided by intuition. We work with the body’s natural rhythm to support tissue health, balance the nervous system, and complement other treatments such as pelvic floor or physical therapy.
Why Massage Matters
When muscles tighten or fascia becomes restricted, it can disrupt posture, limit movement, and even affect bladder, bowel, or core stability. Massage helps release these restrictions, improving comfort, coordination, and alignment.
-
Deep Tissue Massage – Slow, focused pressure to relieve chronic tension and postural strain.
Swedish Massage – Long, flowing strokes to calm the nervous system and promote relaxation.
Sports Massage – Enhances flexibility, reduces soreness, and aids recovery.
Trigger Point Therapy / Neuromuscular Release – Addresses “knots” and referral pain to restore healthy muscle tone.
Craniosacral Therapy – Gentle, rhythmic techniques that help balance the nervous system and promote deep relaxation.
-
Chronic pain or muscle tension (neck, shoulders, hips, and back)
Postural or alignment imbalances
Scar tissue mobility following surgery or injury
Pelvic, abdominal, or hip tension
Stress, anxiety, and fatigue
Headaches and jaw (TMJ) discomfort
Limited flexibility or range of motion
Reiki Energy Healing
Reiki is a powerful, energy-based healing therapy that works with your body’s natural energy flows to restore balance and promote deep relaxation. Using gentle, non-invasive techniques, your practitioner can help to identify and clear energy blockages, allowing you to experience emotional, physical, and spiritual harmony. Put another way, Reiki releases or moves blockages in your body, which can manifest as feelings of “stuckness” (both emotionally and physically). It works by supporting the body’s natural energy flow, helping to calm the nervous system and release areas of energetic or emotional congestion.
During a session, you’ll lie fully clothed on a comfortable massage table. The session begins with a gentle cleansing of your aura, followed by a detailed assessment of your seven chakras using a crystal pendulum. You’ll lie comfortably while the practitioner places his or her hands just above key points on your body—targeting 10 specific areas to stimulate the natural flow of energy (or "Ki"). Most people experience a deep sense of calm, warmth, or peaceful stillness. Reiki can help reduce stress, support recovery, and complement physical treatments such as massage or pelvic floor therapy.
