Therapeutic Massage
Massage at Centerline
Massage at Centerline goes beyond relaxation. It’s a therapeutic, focused treatment designed to release tension, improve circulation, and restore comfort and mobility throughout the body.
Our approach is grounded in anatomy and guided by intuition. We work with the body’s natural rhythm to support tissue health, balance the nervous system, and complement other treatments such as pelvic floor or physical therapy.
Why Massage Matters
When muscles tighten or fascia becomes restricted, it can disrupt posture, limit movement, and even affect bladder, bowel, or core stability. Massage helps release these restrictions, improving comfort, coordination, and alignment.
-
Deep Tissue Massage – Slow, focused pressure to relieve chronic tension and postural strain.
Swedish Massage – Long, flowing strokes to calm the nervous system and promote relaxation.
Sports Massage – Enhances flexibility, reduces soreness, and aids recovery.
Trigger Point Therapy / Neuromuscular Release – Addresses “knots” and referral pain to restore healthy muscle tone.
Craniosacral Therapy – Gentle, rhythmic techniques that help balance the nervous system and promote deep relaxation.
Cupping – Cupping is an ancient technique that uses a gentle vacuum to lift tissue and draw blood to the surface, relieving muscle tension and stimulating the body’s natural healing response.

Myofascial Release Approach®
What is Myofascial Release?
Myofascial Release (MFR) is a gentle, hands-on technique that targets the fascia — the connective tissue network that surrounds and supports every muscle, organ, and nerve in the body. When fascia becomes restricted from injury, surgery, inflammation, or chronic stress, it can create pain, tension, and limited movement that often radiate far from the original source.
At Centerline, we use the John F. Barnes Myofascial Release Approach®, a therapeutic method that applies slow, sustained pressure to release fascial restrictions and restore the body’s natural alignment and mobility. This work helps reduce pain, improve posture, and support functional movement patterns that last well beyond the treatment table.
This slow, responsive approach allows the body to unwind deeply held tension patterns and restore its natural alignment and mobility. Over time, these releases produce measurable changes in flexibility, posture, and range of motion.
How Myofascial Release Works
Unlike traditional massage, Myofascial Release isn’t about applying pressure or force.
The therapist uses gentle, sustained holds—typically lasting at least five minutes—giving the fascia time to soften, elongate, and release at its own pace.
This slow, responsive approach allows the body to unwind deeply held tension patterns and restore its natural alignment and mobility. Over time, these releases produce measurable changes in flexibility, posture, and range of motion.
